Fire Project - The Gypsy and the Demon

My very first fire project. Nothing special, it was just a photoshoot idea I had, but I never did it because... Well yeah, because I thought I could do a collaboration with the boss of the fire company I was in, and as you now know he was a smooth talker and a big fraud. Pretending to be an experimented fire breather when it is clearly not the case...

Anyway, I did this painting to help people to understand what I wanted for this photoshoot. Part of it come from a dream, then I built the rest of it with some fresh ideas. I wanted the fire breather to wear a demon / dragon mask (and yes it IS possible, since I met one before. Remember him? ladyazurfromalkemya.deviantart… ) and since I'm a violin player, I wanted a fire violin. Also, the background was to be done with a fire rope and a long-exposure mode that create the effect of a fire wall.

The props were supposed to be made by some friends of "the boss", and I already have all the other accessories, but he always kept pushing everything back. He wanted to have a meaning behind the picture, a story or something. So I did write a long story, to the point that this picture became the middle part of a trilogy. But that was not enough. He wanted me to explain the reasons behind every single little things: the make up, the accessories, the positions, the background, etc.

This was just a first draft, an idea to launch the photoshoot. I thought that my companion and the photographer will be able to bring their own ideas, using the painting to do something better. I guess I was wrong.

So I gave up. But I now I know much better firebreathers and artists, and some photographer, so it *WILL* be done. Maybe this summer if I can, it could be fun
